Meet Barbara

Barbara Cesario,

Managing Director & Founder

Barbara was destined for a life in travel. Growing up between the beaches of Rio de Janeiro, the mountains of Turin and the city life of Johannesburg, she has always been surrounded by a mix of cultures, nationalities and languages.

After spending the first years of her career working in advertising and communications for some of the finest luxury fashion brands in Milan, Barbara’s work and true passion for travel and diving aligned when she managed a luxury boutique in a resort in the South Ari Atoll in the Maldives, where she also trained to become a certified Divemaster.

Since then, she has made unique and awe-inspiring travel experiences a reality for discerning divers and inquisitive explorers with Dive Butler and Life Butler. And in 2019, she took her extensive travel experience to brand new places to create the proudly female-founded company Oracle Journeys.

For Barbara, when she travels, she feels alive. Whether it’s on a peaceful wellness retreat in Costa Rica, a food and wine tour around the rolling Tuscan hills in Italy or sampling new cultures and authentic local rum on a Caribbean island, she wants to share with you what she has discovered on her own voyages.

Barbara has created a bespoke travel company dedicated to navigating undiscovered journeys, supporting women and local communities and opening your mind to new tastes and sounds, a different history and culture and unforgettable transformative experiences.
